Street Life in Two Rivers, WI. 1937-1940's

This video dates back to 1937-1940. The clips are from a movie which was given to me last year by William Glandt, a local historian.  If it weren't for him you wouldn't be enjoying it.

The Hittner Building 1616 Washington St. Two Rivers, WI

The Hittner Building was constructed as a 2 story structure by Dr. Henry Hittner. A 3rd floor was added down the road. Not sure of the year it was built, but he used it as his office. Hittner died in 1892. This building has had many businesses including, a funeral home, styling salon, restaurants, and taverns. Current picture on the right was taken 4/12/13. Johny Chimpos Bar is operating on the main floor and rental apartments house the 2nd and 3rd floor.
